3 Doors Down

3 Doors Down is an American rock band from Escatawpa, Mississippi that formed in 1996. The band's music is described as post-grunge, alternative rock, and hard rock. The band's 2000 debut single "Kryptonite" became their breakthrough hit, peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Their debut album The Better Life, released shortly afterwards, became 2000's 11th-best-selling album and was certified septuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Away from the Sun (2002), the band's second album, continued their success, debuting at number eight on the Billboard 200, being certified multi-platinum by the RIAA and spawning the singles "When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You". The band's third and fourth studio albums, Seventeen Days (2005) and their self-titled fourth album (2008), both debuted atop the Billboard 200 and were certified platinum by the RIAA. The band's fifth album, Time of My Life (2011), peaked at number three, and its sixth album, Us and the Night (2016), peaked at number 14.
